Leesburg Is Our Home Base

Brick Street Plumbing Heat & Air is the plumber & HVAC in Leesburg, VA that works out of a shop right in town, so most addresses are a short drive from our door. Call (240) 969-4911 for a leaking pipe, a backed-up drain, a cold water heater, an air conditioner that quit, or a furnace that will not light. Our licensed and insured technicians are dual-certified in plumbing and HVAC and answer 24/7. An 11pm call costs the same as a noon call, because we do not charge overtime fees.

Houses here run from brick and frame homes near the courthouse to subdivisions from the last few decades and new construction near the Route 7 and Route 15 bypass. Each era has its own quirks: galvanized or early copper lines in older homes, plastic supply and drain piping in newer ones, and a mix of gas furnaces and heat pumps. Because this is where our trucks start the day, we also cover the rest of Loudoun County, from Ashburn to Purcellville. The full list of towns is on our service area page.

HIRING TIPS

How to Choose a Plumber in Leesburg VA

Start with licensing and insurance. A licensed, insured plumber protects you if something goes wrong inside your walls, and it tells you the work was done by someone trained for it. Next, ask what happens after hours. Plenty of companies answer at night and then add a premium to the bill. We keep one rate around the clock. Finally, think about how many trades the problem touches. A water heater that sits next to the furnace, or a condensate line that drains into a floor drain, is easier to sort out when one technician understands both systems. Fantastic service - bought a home with a very old hot water heater, and Brick Street’s quote came out to be substantially less than the other plumbers I spoke with. No compromise on service for the price, though - Mary was incredibly responsive and friendly when it came to scheduling a time to install the new water heater, and Tylerr did an outstanding job getting the water heater set up and running. Overall very easy to work with, reasonably priced, and professional!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent Service – Highly Recommend Brick Street Plumbing Water Heaters I recently had my entire HVAC system replaced after my old unit had been in my home for over 20 years. I requested an estimate through Home Depot, and they referred me to Brick Street Plumbing. Water Heaters, From beginning to end, my experience was excellent! Brian came to my home, carefully explained the different options available, and walked me through the entire installation process. He was very professional, knowledgeable, patient, and always available to answer my questions. Communication with Brian was outstanding throughout the entire project. One of the best parts of the installation was that they were able to relocate my water heater into an unused space in my basement. This made the entire HVAC area much more spacious, organized, and accessible. I am extremely happy with how everything turned out! I also want to recognize Austin, Gmo, and Dani for their excellent work. They were professional, hardworking, respectful of my home, and paid great attention to detail. The entire team did an amazing job! Replacing an HVAC system is a major investment, but Brick Street made the entire experience smooth and stress-free. Update 10/2/2026 The manager got in touch with us and promptly sent out a service technician that was able to quickly diagnose and troubleshoot the issue with our thermostat. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ We got our AC replaced by Brick Street through Home Depot. After a week our AC wasn't working so we had to put in a service call. They came out and fixed it. Then our heating wasn't working and we put in a service call to have a tech come out to and troubleshoot but their HVAC department has been non responsive via email or voice mail. We are not able to get in contact with them at all. Will not be doing business with this company again. Very poor customer service.

HOT WATER

Fixing or Replacing a Water Heater

Most water heater calls end with a repair: a thermocouple, an element, a gas valve or a relief valve. When the tank itself is leaking, replacement is the only safe answer. At that point we talk through fuel type, how much hot water your household really uses, the space you have, and the efficiency of the options. Some families move to a tankless unit to free up floor space. Replacement usually requires a permit, and we check what applies to your address before the work starts.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a 24 hour plumber in Leesburg VA?
Yes. Brick Street Plumbing Heat & Air answers the phone 24 hours a day, every day of the year, from our shop in Leesburg. Burst pipes, sewage backups, a failed sump pump during a storm, or no heat on a winter night are all reasons to call right away. Tell us what you see and hear, and we will tell you what to shut off while a licensed technician heads your way.
Do you charge more for nights and weekends?
No. We do not charge overtime fees, so a call at 11pm on a Saturday is billed the same way as a call at noon on a Tuesday. Many homeowners wait until morning to avoid an after-hours premium and end up with more water damage. With us, the clock is not part of the decision. If the problem cannot wait, call us when it happens.
Can one company handle both plumbing and heating and cooling?
Yes. Our technicians are dual-certified in plumbing and HVAC, which helps when a problem crosses over. A clogged condensate line from the air conditioner, a gas line feeding both a furnace and a water heater, or a boiler with a leaking supply valve can all be handled on one visit. You get one point of contact and one technician who can see the whole picture.
Do I need a permit to replace a water heater in Leesburg?
In most cases, yes. Water heater replacement usually requires a permit in Virginia, and gas units involve venting and gas connection details that an inspector may want to see. We check what applies to your address before installing, handle the paperwork that comes with the job, and install to current code so the new heater passes inspection. Ask about it when you call and we will explain the steps.
What should I do before an emergency plumber arrives?
Shut off the water first. The main shutoff is usually in the basement or a utility room where the line enters the house, and individual fixtures have their own valves underneath. If water is near outlets or electrical panels, stay clear and turn off power at the breaker only if you can do it safely. For a leaking water heater, close the cold supply valve on top and turn the unit off.
